There was a wonderful response to Stonehaven Choral Society’s invitation to Come And Sing on Monday, with almost 100 people taking part.
Conductor, Ralph Jamieson, began with fun warm exercises which set the tone for the remainder of the evening.
His exuberant style and obvious enthusiasm resulted in the production of a remarkable standard of singing from a group of people who had never sung together before.
Ralph had arranged a programme containing a wide variety of music most of which was familiar to the singers.
Members of the choral enjoyed meeting with other singers from the community and great interaction took place between all participants.
The evening was a great success with the singers almost lifting the roof off Jackie Academy Assembly Hall with their rendition of Handels’ Hallelujah Chorus.
Thank you to all who took part in making the event such a success . The choral hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
