Potterton 4 Bervie 2

BERVIE Caley ended their season on Saturday, with a defeat away to relegation strugglers Potterton.

Bervie were short of players but started well and were the better team in the opening exchanges.

Potterton scored against the run of play in 35 minutes, following the first of four defensive mistakes by Bervie, which cost them goals.

Potterton scored again in 40 minutes to make it 2-0 at the break.
Bervie got a goal back on the hour mark when Les Ingram scored with a volley from 30 yards.

Two more blunders let Potterton move into a 4-1 lead.

Bervie got a second goal back five minutes from time when a cross cum shot from Kenny Hay floated over the keeper.

Bervie are on the same points mark as near neighbours Johnshaven, but Johnshaven have one game to play, at home to title chasers Banchory.

The two rivals are contesting fifth place in Division One East.
