LUTHERMUIR FC go into 2010 still with a chance of promotion out of Division One North of the Aberdeenshire Amateur League.

Promoted from Division Two last season, Luthermuir have had a decent campaign so far and sit fifth, well in touch with the teams above them.

Luthermuir have been strong at home and only league leaders Beacon Rangers and Bucksburn have gone home with wins, which they have scarcely deserved.

Among the sides to lose at Luthermuir in the league have been Stonehaven Athletic and Ellon Thistle.

Luthermuir's away record has also been good and they have only lost once on their travels, against Stoneywood Amateurs.

Luthermuir have been among the best Aberdeenshire sides in the Scottish Amateur Cup this season.

They went all the way to the fourth round before losing away to Fife side Leven, quarter-finalists last season.

Glendale Youth were beaten after a replay in round two and there was a fine 3-2 win in Fife against Dundonald in round three.

Luthermuir's only other cup action has been in the Aberdeen FC Trophy when they lost 2-0 away to Kincorth from the Premier Division in round one.
