Glendale 3 Johnshaven 1

JOHNSHAVEN travelled to Maryculter on Monday April 28 and lost out to two quick goals by Glendale in the second half.

Johnshaven took the lead in seven minutes when Ross Blease crossed
for Jason Leven to score with a shot on the turn.

In 11 minutes a Calder shot was saved by the legs of the keeper.

Johnshaven continued to press and in 23 minutes Lownie was one on one with the keeper, who managed to save.

Glendale equalised in 28 minutes when a Johnshaven defender fell, allowing the home side to run through and score.

Johnshaven tried to get back in front before the break. A 25 yard shot from Gourlay was tipped round the post, then in 40 minutes, a Calder shot was blocked by the feet of the keeper and McDonald shot just wide from the rebound.

At the start of the second half, a shot on the turn from Calder was saved.

Just after the hour mark, an angled shot from Ross Blease went just wide.

Minutes later, Leven chipped the keeper and the ball went agonisingly wide.
