Dee BC 0 Bervie Caley U12 10
Bervie had a full complement of players for the first time since March.
The last match against Dee BC ended up in a 2-2 draw, when Bervie missed a lot of chances.
After 15 minutes, Bervie decided to make some changes to get a grip of the game. The changes had an immediate impact, a shot by Anderson was half cleared by the defence and Karspinski, in a rare foray forward collected the loose ball and fired home.
Bervie were starting to dictate play and 5 minutes later, a Wotherspoon cross was cleared to the edge of the box and Wood fired home an excellent volley. From the resulting centre Joseph McLaughlin won the ball, shrugged off a couple of tackles then laid the ball out wide to Wotherspoon who went past a defender then fired into the bottom corner.
a couple of minutes later Smith fed the ball through to Anderson who took a couple of steps then rifled a shot home.
the next goal came when Wood crossed to S. Smith who scored with the aid of a deflection off a defender.
The next five minutes saw a push by Dee BC, but the Bervie defence were determined to keep another clean sheet.
bervie used five more subs, ensuring everyone got a game. Bervie pushed for goals and within 3 minutes Joseph McLaughlin had scored twice, once from a clearance, the second with a header, he deserved his goals as he was covering every blade of grass on the pitch.
The next two goals came through Blacklaw who fed the ball through to Wotherspoon on the right, and he rifled home to complete his hat-trick.
Bervie’s last goal in 48 minutes was from an A. Smith throw to Blacklaw who turned inside a player then struck a great shot from edge of the box to beat the goalie.
A slow start by Bervie but the subs in 15 minutes seemed to make the difference, especially Wotherspoon who was man of the match.
the centre midfield duo of Blacklaw and Joseph McLaughlin ran him very close once they got going. Also a mention must go to the Bervie defence for keeping a clean sheet two weeks in a row.
