Bervie end with defeat

Bervie 2 Insch 3 BERVIE Caley Amateurs rounded off their season with a home defeat against Insch on May 22.

Bervie pushed for much of the first half without getting any reward.

The home side took the lead midway through the second half when Liam Anderson bundled home after a Mennie shot was blocked.

Insch equalised when Hamilton was penalised for hand ball and the penalty was tucked past veteran keeper for the day Andrew Harper. Insch then took the lead five minutes later.

Bervie equalised when Liam Anderson flicked the ball over a defender's head and volleyed home.

Insch immediately regained the lead and although Bervie continued to press they could not get the equaliser they deserved.

This match was the last in charge for the Bervie management team of Neil West, Malcolm Gowans and Andy Harper.
