Bervie lose at home

Bervie Caley 2 West End 4 BERVIE welcomed Jamie Borland for his first competitive appearance for two years for this league game.

Bervie had the first real chance after 10 minutes when Cerretti went one on one but the keeper pulled off a fine save.

Bervie went one down after 20 minutes when a striker went through three challenges and squared to a team mate to tap home.

Worse was to follow when a forward from an offside position made a move for the ball then stopped with the Bervie team claiming offside, this allowed a team-mate to run through and put West End two up at the break.

The second half ebbed and flowed with both goalkeepers pulling off good saves. West end increased their lead when a striker turned a Bervie defender to easily to fire home.

Bervie got a foothold in the game when a cross was only half cleared and Calum Mennie volleyed home. Bervie then went to sleep immediately and a corner was headed home on the near post .

Bervie got a second goal back when Cerretti finished well from the edge of the box.

Bervie kept pressing to the end and forced the West End goalkeeper into two excellent saves from Cerretti and Melvin.

Man of the match was Frazer Cerretti.
