Defeats for Saints

ST Laurence FC have one game left of what has been a hugely disappointing season and their relegation back down to Division Three of the Aberdeenshire Amateur League has looked inevitable for months.

Back on April 10, the Saints lost 4-1 at home to Glentanar with Doug Harley scoring their goal.

Two days later they lost 5-2 at home to Highland Hotel, with Jamie Johnston and Peter Manson scoring.

A visit to Grammar Rovers on April 17 resulted in a 3-1 defeat with Andrew Duncan scoring for Saints.

Two days later, the Laurencekirk side lost 5-1 at home to Trophies International, with Chris Fenby scoring their consolation.

Harley was the scorer in a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Hilton on April 26.

The return match with Trophies was on May 1 and the Saints lost 5-3, despite a Fenby hat-trick.

Fenby was again on the mark in the most recent match, a 4-1 defeat at home to Rothie Rovers on May 8.

The final game for the Saints is away to Rothie.
