Extra-time cup exit
Hazlehead United 5 Johnshaven 2 (AET) AFTER a lay off of three weeks due to the weather, Johnshaven travelled to Aberdeen for an Association Cup second round tie.
In the 7th minute a Johnshaven free kick by Carnegie cleared the wall and was saved.
In the 10th minute Johnshaven lost possession while trying to work the ball from the back. A Hazlehead player intercepted then went up the wing before crossing the ball to the back post for another of their players to score.
Milne broke with the ball on a fine solo run but his shot went wide.
In the 31st minute Leon Dundas managed to break free but his shot was saved by the Hazlehead keeper.
In 39th minute Johnshaven keeper Lorenson pushed a Hazlehead shot round the post. The resulting corner was played into a crowded box but luckily for Johnshaven it was cleared out of danger.
In the opening minutes of the second half, Johnshaven were awarded a penalty when Cruickshank was fouled. Ross Blease stepped up and scored.
In the 48th minute Lorenson parried a Hazlehead shot.
In the 51st minute Johnshaven's defence could only partially clear the ball which allowed a Hazlehead player to score from just inside the box.
On the hour mark a long range shot for Johnshaven from Smith went over the bar.
In the 81st minute a ball in from Beedie found Leon Dundas whose shot rattled the bar. Milne slotted the rebound home for 2-2.
A minute later Hazlehead hit the post.
Almost on the full time whistle the Hazlehead keeper dived and saved a shot from Beedie.
In the opening minute of extra-time Hazlehead broke through Johnshaven's defence to regain the lead.
Johnshaven decided to push up a couple of players to try to get back into the game but unfortunately Hazlehead punished them by scoring again to further increase their lead to 4-2.
With five minutes left Johnshaven were reduced to 10 men when Ross Blease had to go off injured.
Just after this a shot from outside the box completed the scoring for Hazlehead.
