Despite losing seven players from their depleted squad in the last fortnight, they managed to name 16 players.

The home team looked up for it from the beginning and in the first minute a Cargill throw-in found Forbes out wide who delivered a great cross but Scott Beedie’s header was just wide of the post.

On the 17th minute, Bailey anticipated a ball over the top and found himself in a decent position but his low shot was well gathered by the away keeper.

It was all Johnner in the first half an hour and the home team did take the lead after 31 minutes. A Blease shot looked to be sailing into the corner before a defender dived and saved it with his hand. The referee awarded the penalty and Ross Blease stepped up and stuck in a composed finish into the bottom right corner to make it 1-0.

Johnner couldn’t hold on to their lead for long and began to let their frustrations get the better of them, going on to lose three preventable quick goals before half time.

S. Spink had a good save on half time to keep the game within reach for the home team.

Half-time score 1-3

They did come out at half time with a fighting spirit and passed the ball a lot better than they have since taking the lead.

Smith was unfortunate to not find the bottom corner with a shot from outside the box, and Scott Beedie had a shot blocked in the box too that looked to be going in.

An exhausted Cargill, making his debut for the club, was replaced by Couineaux-Rice.

The away team scored after a great cross found their striker to head home into the top corner.

Johnshaven made three further changes when Sword, C. Spink and Stuart Beedie replaced Blease, Forbes and Keogh.

Bailey had a half chance from out wide but couldn’t force a save from the keeper, and Smith made a good run inside the box but found just one too many defenders around him to get away a shot.

he eighth teenager to feature for Johnner on the day was debutant Wardrop who replaced Dalgarno with 10 minutes left.

Stuart Beedie made a good run in the dying minutes but failed to find a man when trying to create a scoring opportunity, which typically summed up the home team on the day.
