Johnshaven booked their place in the final of the Edmund Trophy after an emphatic win in the semis against Grammar FPs.

In the second minute, a good run from Roger down the right found Gibbon but his shot went wide.

A couple of minutes later, a free kick played in by J. Dalgarno looked to be going to the head of MacLaren but the keeper came out to get a vital touch to the ball and send it away from danger.

In the 12th minute, S. Blease found himself in on goal but his shot came back off the post.

The home team did take the lead after 23 minutes. A corner from Rodger was played deep into the back post where Lee Paton was able to control and thump the ball into the roof of the net - 1-0.

On the half hour mark, Beedie crossed to Gibbon and the striker cleverly dummied it to Jack Rodger whose ferocious shot gave the keeper no chance - 2-0.

It was 3-0 before half time when Gibbon was fouled in the box. Regular penalty kick taker Ross Blease stepped up and made no mistake.

Half-time score - 3-0

At the half-time break, Bruce replaced MacLaren and not long into the half Towns replaced Rodger.

On the hour mark, Jharone Gibbon put the home team 4-0 up after an hour after a good pass from S .Blease. After 70 minutes, S. Blease was again the provider when he squared to Jharone Gibbon to finish superbly - 5-0. Just two minutes later, Dundas and T. Dalgarno replaced Paton and Slavin.

Steven Smith got the sixth goal in the 80th minute after a good finish from close range.

Grammar FP grabbed a consolation goalin the dying minutes when the home team failed to deal with a corner and the ball fell kindly to a striker to stab it home.
