Fordoun on the goal trail again

Fordoun had the first real effort of the game when a dipping volley from McLaren struck the post with the Picture House goalkeeper nowhere near it.

The first goal of the game came in the 12th minute when Murray finished well at the back post to give Fordoun the lead.

The woodwork denied the visitors again in the 15th minute as Cuthill struck the post from 20 yards.

In the 18th minute A Stirling bundled his way forward before sending in a teasing cross to R Keddie who made no mistake with his finish.

The next goal came just before half time as R Keddie scored a tap in after a Mclaren shot was tipped onto the post.

It took Fordoun just 30 seconds into the second half to score. A Stirling cut the Picture House defence open with an incisive through ball to McLaren who smashed home past the keeper to make it 4-0.

In the 60th minute Fordoun bombed forward and won a corner which was whipped in by Murray and diverted into his own net by a Picture House defender.

Picture House pulled a goal back as they caught Fordoun on the counter attack, forcing a defensive mix up which allowed the pacey winger to score.

In the 69th minute it was 6-1 when McLaren showed great skill before unselfishly setting up strike partner R Keddie to tap home for his hat-trick.

The Stirling brothers combined for the seventh goal as Andy cut the ball back from the byeline to Ross Stirling who made no mistake from 10 yards.

Three minutes later it was 8-1 as R Keddie scored yet again to take his personal tally to four after a stramash in the Picture House box.

Fordoun completed the scoring in the 86th minute when Deans tapped home from a McLaren cross.

Fordoun: Milne; A Stirling; Cuthill; Duncan; Norrie; Murray (Smart); N Keddie (Thomson); R Stirling; Deans; McLaren, R Keddie (Cruickshank).
