Despite the very cold frosty weekend there were a number of hot scores in the singles and doubles winter competitions.

In the singles section Alan Wood topped the leaderboard with an excellent 42 points. This gave him a 2 point lead over Alex Geddes and Mike Rendall. In the doubles scratch section there was a tie at the top between Alan Officer & Colin Arthur and Gordon Adamson & Glennie Melvin with scores of 62. Craig McKay and Jim Hepburn continued their fine form with a winning nett 55 in the handicap section.

There were a couple of holes in one at the weekend in the winter league competitions. Stewart Allsop aced the 150 yard 15th hole using a 7 iron. He was partnered by Brian Lawson, David Callaghan and David Summers. Ian Smith had a hole in one at the 170 yard 18th hole using a 7 wood. Bill Chalmers, Eric Douglas and Hendry Davidson were there to witness the event.

On Saturday night the Ladies had their annual prizegiving. Main winners were: Fiona Lamont Championship winner, Eclectic Scratch, Best Medal Scratch Score, Winter Ringer, 3 Medals.
