Johnshaven draw with leaders

Johnshaven 1 Woodside 1 JOHNSHAVEN played host to the unbeaten Division 1 East leaders Woodside on December 12 and picked up a deserved point.

Johnshaven took the lead in the 13th minute. Carnegie put in a deep cross which a Woodside defender tried to head clear but the ball fell to Milne who took a touch before hitting an unstoppable shot past the Woodside keeper.

A minute later, Johnshaven keeper Lorenson parried a shot. A follow-up shot appeared to be trundling towards the net but it hit the post and then was cleared off the line by Reid.

In the 24th minute Woodside broke with Johnshaven shouting for offside but the shot went just past the post.

A few minutes later, Lorenson saved at his near post.

In the 49th minute Leon Dundas crossed to Ross Blease whose shot was parried around the post.

In the 57th minute Carnegie had his shot saved by the diving Woodside keeper.

In the 65th minute following a nice one two between Dalgarno and Leon Dundas, Dalgarno was fouled just outside the box and Woodside were reduced to 10 men.

The Woodside keeper pushed the resulting direct free kick by Ross Blease round the post for a corner.

In the 67th minute Woodside went down the left before crossing the ball to the back post where an advancing Woodside player scored the equaliser from close range.

Ten minutes later Carnegie played the ball through to Milne whose shot went just past the post.

In the 80th minute a long goal kick by Lorenson went straight to Milne whose shot went just wide .

In the 85th minute, Ross Blease shot just over the bar.
