Lace up for the Meningitis Trust

If you were lucky enough to get a place in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, why not support the Meningitis Trust as a volunteer runner?

The Marathon Festival consists of a variety of runs for all abilities, so which ever race you’ve signed up; whether it’s a 5k or a marathon, you can support the Trust at the same time.

Jo Stevenson, Community Development Officer, says “If you have your own place in any of the races in the Marathon Festival we would love you to run for the Trust. These events are essential so that we can continue reducing the impact of meningitis by providing support for life.”

The Meningitis Trust relies on the generosity of individuals to continue its vital work; supporting anyone affected by meningitis with free professional services, as well as raising lifesaving awareness of the disease and its symptoms.

For the many people who have been, and continue to be, affected by meningitis, and for those who will sadly be affected in the future, the Trust is a lifeline.

Events such as the Edinburgh Marathon Festival ensure that this lifeline can continue.

If you would like to find out more information, contact the Joanna Stevenson at the Meningitis Trust on 0845 120 4885, email joannas@meningitis-trust.org or visit www.meningitis-trust.org.
