After an enforced lay off since the November 13 due to the severe weather, Johnshaven finally returned to action when they travelled to Inverdee in Aberdeen on Saturday, looking for a win to consolidate their position at the top of Division Two East.

In the opening minute a superb tackle by Welsh stopped a dangerous attack.

In the 24th minute a Highland shot was tipped over by Johnshaven keeper Kevin Harrison.

A couple of minutes later a free-kick from Highland was well saved by Harrison.

Highland got a goal back in the 74th minute when a shot was deflected past Harrison.

In stoppage-time Ross Blease put the ball through to Scott Beedie who brilliantly chipped the Highland keeper to clinch the points.
