Missed chances cost Luthermuir two points

Luthermuir 2

AC MillInn 2

LUTHERMUIR missed a barrow-load of chances on Monday at home to Stonehaven side AC Mill Inn.

The missed chances ultimately cost them two points as Mill Inn hit back to draw.

Luthermuir dominated much of the game and the Mill Inn keeper was the man of the match.

The home side took the lead in 20 minutes. Cruickshank crossed from the left and Ewan Slesser sidefooted home on the back post.

It was 2-0 when a corner from Cruickshank was headed into the air by a defender and Euan Duff pounced to score.

The game should have been out of sight by half-time as Anderson and Slesser both missed a string of chances.

Mill Inn hit back in the second half and when a free-kick caused Luthermuir problems, the ball was slotted home from 12 yards.

The Stonehaven side equalised in 80 minutes. They broke on the right and a cross was tucked into the net from 10 yards.
