It is the first time that the Glenbervie team has got through to the finals, which will take place next Friday, April 29 between 10am-12pm at Banchory Sports centre.

Stonehaven Leisure Centre was the setting for the Stonehaven Cluster event of the Sportshall Challenge at the end of March.

teams of ten from Arduthie Primary, Dunnottar Primary, Mill O’ Forest Primary, Lairhillock Primary and Glenbervie Primary all met to compete for a place in the regional final.

The Challenge aims to give Primary Children (P3 – P4) a fun and competitive introduction to badminton and improve and develop movement skills required for all sports i.e. running, jumping, balancing, sending, receiving and hand eye coordination.

There were seven stations to complete along with relay races, each group were scored on completion of each station and the team with highest score won.

All the children were very keen to do their best and will look to do the same in Banchory next week. The competition has bene running for eight years.
