A total of 33 students took part in grading at the Lions Den Martial arts school in Stonehaven last Sunday.

Malcolm Evans, who runs the Lions Den, spoke on how well all the children did taking part.

On a post on facebook he said: “Well what can I say, what an amazing day of gradings at Lion’s Den Martial Arts Academy, everybody pushed it to the max and earned their new grades.

“WOW there was some greatness on show real Black Belt spirit so proud of you all.

“Adults you guys were unbelievable today hill sprints sparring, pad work, line drills plus fitness test BOOM you smashed it as did the Teens and kids fantastic....Lion’s you rock!!!

“Keep up the hard work quote of the day from one of the kids after his sparring test and with tears in his eyes I asked everyone how they felt and with a real buzz he replied ‘Awesome’”

Malcolm also had another notch to add to his black belt as he passed his 2nd Dan Blackbelt and has had his first four students passing blackbelt grading. Including in that is his 60 year old mum Elizabeth Evans.
