Lion’s Den Martial Arts put the bite on the competition

Its been a successful time recently for all members of Lion’s Den Martial Arts Academy, with successes at competitions both national and international.

Dean Sutherlandhas hadthe most recent success, gaining double World Championship glory over in Spain at the ISKA World Kickboxing Championships.

This year so far has seen Lion’s Den Stonehaven become one of the most successful mrtial arts clubs in Scotland along with their reputation growing internationally.

Head instructor and owner of a local kickboxing academy in Stonehaven, Malcolm Evans,said: “I could not be prouder of all members of the Lion’s Den family and all their achievements - this is down to their hard work and dedication to their training.”

Since moving into their own fully kitted out dojo the club have gone from strength to strength and are now looking for larger premises, which will help to further develop the students as well as being able to offer more spaces to new ones wishing to join in the fun at the club.

Coming up, the club have two students fighting at the British Open in Birmingham along with a team of 10 taking part in the upcoming ISKA event in Wishaw.

Malcolm added: “We have huge plans for the future and look forward to cementing Stonehaven’s name firmly on the Kickboxing map.

“If anyone knows of a larger premises where we can expand, I’d love to hear from them. At present we offer great ladies fitness classes and martial arts classes from five yearsupwards.

‘‘With the expansion of the club I would be able to add classes from three years upwards and offer more fitness classes open to all.
