On Sunday, Stonehaven travelled to Auchenblae for a second round singles tie in the Mail On Sunday National Golf Classic played out in blustery conditions.
With the scores tied on two each after 2 and 1 victories for Brain Lawson and Alan Cruickshank, anchor man Stewart Allsop was aware that his match was going to be crucial.
With two holes remaining, category one man Stewart was one hole behind but two pars was good enough for a one-hole victory and a team win of three matches to two.
Stonehaven now await the draw for the next round which will be played by April 21.
