Redhall are champions
REDHALL are the champions of the Mearns Pool League after a remarkable turnaround over the final two weeks of the season.
Salutation led Redhall by a point with two games to go, but on February 22, Sally were held to a 6-6 draw at home to Scots Corner, while next door at the Crown, Redhall won 7-5 to level things up on points.
Going into the final games on March 1, Sally were ahead on frames difference, but they were held to another 6-6 draw at the Harbour and Redhall took the title by a point by beating Drumlithie 8-4.
February 22: Royal 6 Harbour 6; Drumlithie 5 Hotshots 7; Crown 5 Redhall 7; Sally 6 Scots Corner 6.
March 1: Harbour 6 Sally 6; Redhall 8 Drumlithie 4; Hotshots 6 Crown 6; Scots Corner 6 Royal 6.
