Saints lose in extra-time
Lads' Club 5 St Laurence 3 (AET F-T 3-3) ST LAURENCE exited the second round of the North of Scotland Cup on December 12 when they were beaten after extra-time by Lads' Club.
The Saints made a flying start and they raced into a 2-0 lead by the 20th minute. Neil Reid and Peter Manson were the men who found the net.
Lads' Club were a competent side and they fought back to 2-2 by half-time.
The Saints refused to give up and Jamie Johnston scored to put them back in front.
The home side battled on and tied the scores at 3-3 six minutes from time.
Superior fitness told in extra-time as Lads' Club scored twice to win.
The Saints played well and on another day might have beaten the Aberdeen side.
Back on November 28, St Laurence played their first game since October 24 when they lost 4-0 away to the league leaders, Rattray's X1.
