Bervie U13 5 Sheddocksley 5

In Bervie’s third game of the season they faced the early pace setters in the league Sheddocksley arrived with a 100% record and 43 goals scored in just 4 games.

Sheddocksley took an early lead following a corner. Bervie levelled when Wood drove the ball across the box for Anderson to score. With half time looming a shot from the edge of the box gave Sheddocksley back the lead. S. Smith set up Anderson to level the match just on half time.

the visitors once again took the lead following a corner, then an Anderson corner was scrambled home by Gordonfor 3-3. A McLaughlin free-kick was parried and Anderson gave Bervie the lead for the first time. It was then 4-4 following a good block from Gordon. With five minutes to go the game seemed to be heading for a draw when a seemingly harmless cross was once again only half cleared with the ball landing at a forwards feet and he scored what the visitors thought would be the winner.

With two minutes on the clock the ball was crossed for Anderson to slot home for the equaliser and his fourth of the match.

A draw was probably a fair reflection of the match, however it was a hard earned draw and one which the team can be immensely proud of.
