Blues treat as ‘International Bluesman Francesco Piu’ makes his UK Debut in the North East of Scotland in a double bill with Gerry Jablonski and The Electric Band.
Blues fans will be entertained to an electrifying performance by this up and coming and very talented Blues outfit ‘The Francesco Piu Blues Trio’.
They have been notching their way up the International Blues Scene over the past few years, with two albums released by the ‘Groove Company’ of Milan.
Francesco’s first album was a solo project titled ‘Blues Journey’ which successfully then led onto the second album with the band recorded live at the ‘Amigdala Theatre’ and titled the same.
The band has opened shows for legends such as: ‘John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Jimmy Vaughn, Robert Cray, Derek Trucks, Robben Ford and the likes of Joe Bonamassa.
Francesco’s style of blues guitar was quoted in one guitar magazine as ‘Truly a force of nature’..! They have played the US and International scene including the ‘IBC’ Blues festival in Memphis.
The Band chose their UK debut to be in Scotland, as it’s known for its healthy music scene and appetite for the Blues.
They will play two North East gigs, the first in Stonehaven Town Hall on Friday October 28, as a double bill with the very energising ‘Gerry Jablonski and The Electric Band’.
There can’t be anyone in the North East of Scotland who hasn’t heard of Gerry Jablonski, he has been one of the major performers on the blues circuit for many years.
Now in conjunction with the Electric Band (Peter Narojczyk, Dave Innes, Grigor Leslie) they are going from strength to strength.
Throughout 2009 and 2010, The Electric Band toured the UK, playing packed out venues and festivals everywhere between Aberdeen and London. Their second studio album – ‘Life at Captain Tom’s’ – came out in May, followed by appearances at eight major festivals across the UK and a planned European tour.
Despite both these bands having a heavy schedule they have come together to play an exciting night of blues on the October 28 at Stonehaven Town Hall.
