An Aberdeen audience is making way to allow Grammy and Dove award winning country music legend Glen Campbell to collect a lifetime award in America before a television audience of more than 20million.

For just before he was due to play the city’s Music Hall on November 9, the iconic singer will be presented with a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the 45th Country Music Awards in Nashville.

To make up for the disappointment of the postponed gig, the legendary singer is to replace his scheduled Aberdeen date with TWO concerts in the city venue, on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 22 and 23, to give more fans the chance to catch his Goodbye Tour before he retires.

Tickets for the sell-out original November 9 concert will be valid for the Tuesday, November 22 date and tickets for the Wednesday, November 23 date went on sale on Monday (October 10) online at, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

Glen Campbell will receive the illustrious Lifetime Achievement Award in the USA on November 7; it is the highest accolade given in the world of country music and it’s important that he should be there in person to accept the acclaim of his peers.
