The Bervie Play Parks Committee are hosting the Royal Burgh of Inverbervie’s Diamond Jubilee Street Party on Tuesday, June 5, in Market Square, between 1-5pm. Deputy Lord-Lieutenant, the Hon. Keith Arbuthnott will open the event along with a parade by the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
There will be ballet and street dance performances from Showcase the Street and Bervie Church will be represented by their band . Scottish Country Dancers will on hand to provide a Mini Ceilidh. To top off this great line up, the Peyton Place will be performing live.
The Jubilee Street Party also marks the launch of a CD put together to raise funds for the Bervie Playparks Committee. “Swings & Roundabouts Volume One” showcases music donated by artists from Bervie, the Mearns and Montrose, and features an eclectic mix of sounds and styles, something for everyone. The CD costs £5 and will be available to buy at community events and stores across the area.
The BBQ will be on along with a Street “Tea Party” With Teas, Coffees and Cakes available
The Bervie Play Parks Committee is a registered charity and was recently set up to raise money to improve and expand upon the existing playground facilities in the village. They are already making great progress. This is a free event and we welcome everyone for a fantastic day of family fun. Donations will be collected on the day.
