Woodend Barn in Banchory is a rural, multi-arts venue bringing high quality music, theatre, comedy, exhibitions, children’s events, dance, films and a multitude of classes and workshops to the people of Aberdeenshire for the last twenty years.
All in a converted cowshed with great acoustics and on-site parking.
The Barn’s independence and not-for-profit status means that funding is sought from many different places in order to continue doing what they do best.
The Chilli and Ceilidh with Clachan Yell on Saturday March 17 at 7pm (£30 per head), is an opportunity for audiences to help raise funds whilst enjoying food and music and feel that they are directly contributing to the future and to their continuing entertainment. Barn director Nicola Henderson said, “ Woodend Barn has grown into one of the North East of Scotland’s most exciting venues. In order to maintain the high quality and diverse programme in this tough economic climate, we need to fundraise in different ways. The support of the community is highly valued and we try to give them a great night out.”
Clachan Yell, renowned for playing rock solid ceilidhs anywhere from the Music Hall to Moscow will fire up your soles into a fine frenzy, whilst the Buchanans’ kitchen will fire up your souls with their bowls of delicious spicy chilli. So book your tables of ten or bring a party to a party and meet some new friends.
