What’s On at Stonehaven Town Hall

VISITORS to the town hall can expect to have ‘stars in their eyes’ tonight (Friday) as a selection of enthusiastic locals take to the stage to emulate their favourite singers.

A bar will also be provided and stovies from Mearns Farmhouse kitchen will be available so there is no need to go anywhere else! Tickets are £10, or £7.50 concession and doors open at 7.30pm.

After kicking off September in style, the schedule for the rest of the month will not disappoint.

The Two Left Feet Dance School commences on Saturday September 17 at 7.30pm with an Hawaiian Beach theme - although fancy dress is optional. Tickets cost £12 per couple and there will be a raffle.

Official Iron Maiden tribute act, Hi On Maiden, will perform at the town hall on September 24.

Supported by local band Xtreme Machine, it will be a night to remember. a spokeswoman for the Town Hall said: “One of the wildest nights the Town Hall has seen in a long time, Hi On Maiden the official Maiden tribute band is coming to Stonehaven with a full stage show. If you couldn’t get tickets for Iron Maiden this is the next best thing. Covering all your favourites right back to the beginning of the best metal band in the world. Don’t miss out get your tickets quick because this is bound to be popular.” Doors open at 7.30pm and a bar will be provided.

Sunday September 25 will be a much-needed chill out afternoon with the Jazz Cafe. Cindy Douglas and her band, as always, will be there on the last Sunday of every month. Adult tickets are £5, concession £3, and children go free.

Sunday September 25 also sees the September installment of the wildly successful Laugh Out loud comedy club. This month’s bill features Gareth Waugh, Jonny Awsum, Paddy Lennox and R David as a headliner. Doors open at 7.30pm and a bar will be provided.

An afternoon for Scottish Music from local musicians will be a great wee treat on Thursday September 29 from 2pm-4pm. Dave Ramsay, Rae Milne and Simply Accordions will be there to perform. A nice gentle afternoon, and refreshments will be included. All for just £3.

Georgia Crawl will be appearing on Friday September 30, and a great evening of entertainment is promised by this stomping good time blues band. Tickets are only £5.

Saturday October 1 sees the Family Fling and Stovies Supper from 7.30pm.

A Family Evening with The ”Highly Strung” Ceilidh Band Why not bring the whole Family for a wonderful evening of entertainment including a Stovies Supper.
