A 50 year-old woman had to be rescued by HM Coastguard yesterday (Sunday September 25) after falling from a cliff at Stonehaven.
The Coastguard received a call for assistance at 3.45pm, from the ambulance service after the woman fell at cliffs near the Cowie battery.
While walking along the cliff path she was pulled off her feet by a dog she was walking and fell over the edge onto rocks below.
She was immobilised with shortboard and transfered onto a stretcher and extricated by hand carrying along the beach to a waiting ambulance. She suffered suspected head, neck, arm and rib injuries.
