The Auchenblae Gardens Open will take place this weekend.
The event is now in its ninth year and seems to grow in popularity each time, thanks of course to the many visitors who descend upon the village to view the gardens, as well as to enjoy a wander round the village.
Six residents have kindly, and willingly, agreed to ‘open their gardens to the public’ from 1pm until 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9.
Visitors should collect a map at the village hall and from there, follow the route to the participating gardens. At some stage during the afternoon, everyone is invited to return to the hall for a delicious tea.
To view all six gardens including strawberry teas costs £7, with all proceeds going towards Auchenblae Church Clock Replacement Fund (one clock was blown off the tower in January’s gales and after inspection, and as a safety precaution, the remaining two were removed).
Transport will be available from the hall if required. For those unable to walk round the gardens, there will be teas and a friendly chat in the hall for £3. There will also be various stalls to browse, for further details please phone Jenny on 01561 320245.
