The week started with the judging of the Scarecrow Competition by councillors George Carr and Jean Dick. 1 The Brownie (Colbecks); 2 Gala Queen (the Morgans).
Sunday's Kite Flying was followed by Children's races, enjoyed by the enthusiastic participants, with football organised by Mark Robinson, and Beat the Goalie with Simon Leigh.
Over 80 children took part in Monday's Walking Treasure Hunt in the village, followed on Tuesday by an entertaining Quiz Night by Kevin Newstead, won by Liz Gammie & Co..
On Wednesday many Car Treasure Hunt enthusiasts followed an interesting route compiled by Kay Watson & Liz Gammie, won by Jimmy Thomson and his 'Jim'll Fix it team. Second were Harry & Aileen Lindsay.
Friday was Children's Party Night where over 100 children were entertained with Games and Nick's Disco.
Gala Day on Saturday, in the beautiful setting of the Den, attracted an exceptionally large attendance with activities to suit all ages, bouncy castle, varied stalls, barbecue and teas.
The winner of the first prize of 100 in the 500 Duck Derby was Andy McDonald with Margaret Eddie winning the 2nd prize of 50.
Bowlers from a large area competed in a seven end competition, won by Bill Aitken.
Brilliant sunshine ensured the large crowd stayed to enjoy the happy atmosphere contributing to a superb village Gala Day. The activities concluded with the prize raffle.
The Community Association is most appreciative of all the help given and donations, raffle prizes and baking for the teas.
The Association's next venture is catering for the tea tent at Drumtochty Highland Games on Saturday June 26.
