The B974 Fettercairn to Strachan road will be closed at Spittal Burn Bridge, Cairn O Mount, from Monday, June 15 for three weeks to allow for essential repairs works to the bridge.
The listed structure was damaged following a vehicle collision during the winter. The repair work is being carried out now as it involves the use of a lime mortar which is temperature dependent.
An alternative route will be available via A93 to Banchory, A957 to Crathes, A90 to Stonehaven, B966 and the B974.
Pedestrian access will be maintained in all cases, as will vehicle access to affected properties where possible.
Aberdeenshire Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the works. For more information on temporary road closures and restrictions in Aberdeenshire, see: http://bit.ly/McuJ6x.
