Girlguiding Kincardine and Deeside organised a trail in the grounds of Crathes Castle as part of the Big Brownie Birthday celebrations.
They had a really successful time on March 22 and 23, with 300 girls doing the trail with their families over the two days. In addition, three members of the Trefoil Guild visited and walked the trail.
Around the trail there was information about Brownies and challenges to try out some skills including using semaphore to say your name and tying a reef knot.
A spokesperson said: ‘‘Girls came from as far as Huntly, Strathdon, Rothienorman, Rhynie, Ellon, Kintore as well as Fettercairn, Laurencekirk, Inverbervie, Portlethen, Stonehaven, Maryculter and, of cours,e Deeside girls of Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater and Torphins.
‘‘The very first girl through the door on Saturday morning was a Brownie from Lumphanan, with her mum.
‘‘In addition, some adults who took part had been involved in Guiding in Canada, South Africa, Venezuela, Colombia and Dubai- a lovely mix of people.
‘‘Guiding is international!’’
