Estelle Robb, who provides CLANs specialist salon services, will be available in Stonehaven from 10am on Friday March 27.

The new specialist lingerie advice and bra fitting service for women who have had breast surgery was first offered at CLAN House in Aberdeen last year. Demand for appointments has led to the service being offered throughout the region.

Estelle Robb, who provides CLAN’s specialist salon services, will be available in Stonehaven from 10am tomorrow.

Gemma Powell, CLAN area co-ordinator, said: “We have had a wonderful response to the specialist lingerie service throughout our North-east bases and we are pleased to be able to offer consultations in Stonehaven this week. At the moment these are being offered on a stand-alone basis, but it is something we could look to offer further if there is enough demand.

“CLAN is committed to making its services as accessible as possible for people living with cancer and we would encourage anyone who wants to find out more about our services in Stonehaven to get in touch.”

The charity has also launched a new campaign which appeals to those with pocketfuls of loose holiday change to donate the unwanted coinage.

The coin campaign follows the recent successful launch of an unwanted mobile phone appeal, which has already seen hundreds of handsets donated to the charity across all of its support and wellbeing centres.

The charity is also appealing for any leftover postage stamps to be donated.

Susan Crighton, CLAN’s fund-raising manager, said: “We’ve had such success with our ongoing mobile phone appeal that we’ve decided to open it up to both foreign coins and stamps.

“There’s nothing worse than coming home from a holiday with a pocketful of loose change that can’t be exchanged for anything, so we’re looking for people to consider donating their coins to CLAN. Similarly with the stamps, anyone who can take the time to hand a few in could really help make a big difference.

“All money raised from the appeals will go towards our continued provision of free support services to anyone affected by cancer; we’d be grateful for any help we received.”

Donations of foreign coins, stamps and mobile phones can be made in person at CLAN’s Stonehaven base at 8 Robert Street, Stonehaven.
