Busy time at Mill O Forest Primary . . .

Welcome back after the Easter holidays.

P4 classes have begun swimming lessons at Mackie Academy and P7 pupils have started a block of hockey lessons.

Now that the better weather has arrived the P6 pupils are bringing their bikes to school for Bike Agility training and they also took part in whole day RESPECT programme run by social work, police and health care professionals.

P6 are also working closely with the Youth Music Initiative to learn about and make Scottish music.

The new planters and benches arrived for the playground, although they are still to be planted and put in their final positions. This will create a “Quiet Zone” for all pupils to enjoy.

P7 pupils are making final preparations for their show “Ye-ha!” and are making use of the new stage that the PTA have helped the school purchase.

This is going to be another busy term for the PTA and we hope that you can join us for our ever popular quiz night tomorrow (Friday) at Mill O Forest Primary.  Come and join the fun with teams of up to six people and bring your own drinks and nibbles. Hosted by a local radio station DJ, it is always a fantastic night.

We are looking forward to our May Fair on May 18, from 2-4 pm. Come and join us for all the fun of the fair with loads of outside and inside stalls including a childrens fun run, sunflower competition, face painting and tombola to name but a few.  There will be lots of goodies to eat from our afternoon tea, BBQ, chocolate fountain and home bakes so come along and support us.

Other events coming up include our Treasure Trail on Friday, June 14, an end-of-term disco on Thursday, June 27, and the P7 fun night.  More information will be provided through school and we hope you will support these events as much as possible.
