President Aileen Gauld welcomed members to the April meeting.

Guest speaker was Alison Stewart from Newtonhill who gave an interesting talk on how she started her own business baking and selling cakes, her speciality being cup cakes.

Alison demonstrated various ways cupcakes could be presented as gifts for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Monthly competitions: gingerbread- 1st Isabel Carnie, 2nd Alice Meston, 3rd Isobel Collie, 4th Betty Meston. Knitted cushion- 1st Isobel Collie, 2nd Betty Meston, 3rd Wendy Smith, 4th Dorothy Miller

Mary Mair won the competition for gypsy creams, for the Anne Wallace Sugar Sifter Competition.

Mary will represent Catterline at the Federation meeting in May.

Wendy Smith proposed the vote of thanks.

Members held a very successful coffee morning in the Invercarron Resource Centre on Saturday April 20.

Many cups of coffee were served with scones, pancakes and shortbread and the baking stall, tombola and raffle were very busy raising over £400.

A huge thanks to all who came and supported us.
