Stonehaven charity shop Far and Wide has donated £6,000 to Aberdeen based Christian Charity, The Kerusso Trust.

At a soup lunch at Fetteresso Parish Church on Tuesday September 29, attended by members of the shop Committee and about 25 of the volunteer shop staff, Rev Nathan Young, Pastor of Stonehaven Baptist Church, presented Jonathan Groves, with a cheque to the Kerusso Trust for £6,000.

“When we heard about The Kerusso Trust, we wanted to come alongside and support this work.”, said Nathan Young.

Jonathan Groves said, “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the ‘Far and Wide’ charity shop in Stonehaven, and are honoured that they kindly chose to support the work of the Trust.”

“Thank you so much to Rev Dr Fyfe Blair, the minister at Fetteresso, Barbara MacLean the shop manager, the Committee, and all the dedicated team of shop volunteers. 100% will be used in Malawi to make a real impact in church leader training and in bringing transformation and hope in these needy rural communities,” said charity co-founder and Mission Director Dr Jonathan Groves.

The Kerusso Trust works in Malawi to train and equip pastors and church leaders and to support some of the most vulnerable in the country.
