THE Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) has received a donation of £400, the latest donation from CHUMS (Children’s Hospice United Mearns Supporters).

The money was raised at the Johnshaven Fish Festival last weekend (August 10) with the money being handed over early this week.

Gordon Beatt first started raising money for CHAS when he and a group of friends entered the Marykirk Raft Race and the majority of the proceeds from that event went to the charity.

From this CHUMS was formed around eight years ago (formed in 2005) and each year a hefty cheque has been presented to CHAS.
