THE Mearns Area Partnership is holding a public consultation into community transport in the regeneration priority area of the Mearns coast from Catterline to St Cyrus.
The consultation includes links to Laurencekirk and will take place throughout June and July.
The consultation will be based on the questionaire which will ask the public to give their feedback on current community transport availability as well as some new initiatives which were highlighted in the 2010 Making the Most of the Coast survey.
Project worker Tony Archer said: “I hope people in the area who have difficulty accessing transport will give me their thoughts on how community run transport projects can improve their lives and indetify where and when such projects are needed.”
Mr Archer will be at Inverbervie Library every Tuesday 2-4 pm throughout Juen and July for people to drop in and have a chat about community transport issues.
Copies of the survey will be available from the Aberdeenshire Council mobile library at stops throughout the coastal area and from the MAP office at 44 High Street, Laurencekirk.
