Are you interested in writing? A new group is being formed to share, discuss and explore creative writing within the community. Whether you are a seasoned scribbler or a complete novice, you are invited to take part.
Meetings, which will be led by local writer Catriona Yule, will be informal and relaxed yet designed to give support and encouragement to those wishing to develop their writing skills with a view to publication.
Budding authors are invited to join initially for six weeks. The Course organised by the Grassic Gibbon Arts Group will take place at the Grassic Gibbon Centre, Arbuthnott beginning today, Friday February 17 between 10.30am and 12.30pm and costs £20 for six sessions including refreshments.
The Grassic Gibbon Centre will open for the 2012 season on Monday March 5 when it will welcome visitors to its coffee shop, gift shop and exhibition every day between the hours of 10am and 4.30pm until the end of October.
Groups are welcome by appointment. Tickets for the annual supper of the Friends of the Grassic Gibbon Centre on Saturday March 31 are now available. This year’s guest speaker is Prof Ian Campbell with entertainment by Paul Anderson and Shona Donaldson. Tickets cost £18.
