£60,000 of cannabis found in Laurencekirk property


Two men have appeared in court after a large haul of cannabis was found in a property in the Mearns.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two men have been reported to the procurator fiscal in relation to drugs offences after cannabis with an estimated street value of £60,000 was recovered from a property in Laurencekirk.

“A drug search warrant was executed on Tuesday, August 5, after information was received from the public.”

The men, aged 26 and 50, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court last Thursday and made no plea.
