A 14-year-old boy has been charged following thefts from two cars in Portlethen’s
Boswell Wynd last Sunday, September 14.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a 14-year-old boy has been charged and will be reported to the relevant authorities following thefts from two insecure cars at Boswell Wynd.’’
Local Policing Constable Jim Small said: “This type of offence is rare in the Portlethen area.
‘‘However, we would continue to urge vehicle owners to keep their car doors and windows locked when not in use.
“Please don’t ever leave any valuables in your car overnight as you will risk being the victim of opportunistic thieves who are on the lookout for easy targets.”
