Sir Robert Smith, MP for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine, has called on the Scottish Government to hold the referendum on Scotland’s future in the UK as soon as possible.
Speaking after questioning the Secretary of State for Scotland he said: “Having spoken to a number of companies, they have told me that they are delaying investment decisions until the future of Scotland becomes clear. Waiting for another two and a half years to hold the referendum can only harm the Scottish and the UK economy.”
Sir Robert has grown concerned after meeting with a number of companies operating in the North East. They informed Sir Robert that they are delaying making investment decisions in Scotland until after the referendum.
