The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a tiny kitten found soaking wet and shivering on an Aberdeenshire road.
A member of the public handed the six to eight week old kitten into the charity’s Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Drumoak after he narrowly missed being run over by a car on the Netherley road from Stonehaven to Maryculter on Thursday morning (October 18).
Nicknamed Patrick, the male ginger kitten is now recovering from his terrifying ordeal.
Centre Manager Graeme Innes said, “The person who found Patrick said that he saw a car drive right over the top of him, but thankfully, as he is so tiny, he was completely untouched.
“Patrick is far too young to be outside on his own and will only have recently been weaned from his mother so we are very keen to find his owner.
“He’s looking and feeling much better now he’s been brought into the warmth and been fed, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on him over the next few days to make sure he recovers well.
“If no-one comes forward to reclaim Patrick then we’ll be looking to find him a loving new home.”
Anyone who recognises Patrick is being asked to call the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999.
