This coming Friday and Saturday March 18-19 the curtain rises on high drama that turns into a riotous farce at Edzell’s Inglis Hall at 7.30pm when Edzell Drama Group present “The Crying Dame” in a double bill of two plays.
The Dame triggers such a crisis that a news reporter steps in to investigate a story with unexpected twists. It all starts as a back-stage row on real issues: is there a future for amateur dramatics? How to stage “live theatre” and pay its way?
Edzell’s actors and the back stage/ front of house helpers are puttng their hearts into it to win audience on comfy seats at Inglis Hall. Tickets on sale at Edzell’s SPAR, Post Office, No63 & “The Tweedie” and on the door.
“We aim to entertain and invite more new members to join us .” says club chairman Anne Newsome.” We promise surprise and loads of laughs.”
