Scottish Education Award nominations are open

The search is under way for Aberdeenshire’s brightest education stars as nominations open for the Scottish Education Awards 2014.

People are being urged to nominate the teaching professionals and local schools that go the extra mile, for recognition at the national awards ceremony which honours the hard work and innovation happening in classrooms across Scotland.

The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, Michael Russell, said: “The awards give us all an opportunity to recognise, share and celebrate our schools’ fantastic work.”

The awards are open to all publicly funded schools, including secondary, primary, nursery and special schools. There are also categories to recognise and reward the dedication of teachers, head-teachers and support staff across Scotland.

Nominations close on February 21. For further information and to make a nomination visit
