Three actresses best known for their television appearances are to share a stage at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen.
The trio are appearing in Eve Ensler’s hilarious Broadway and West End smash hit, The Vagina Monologues.
Actress Diane Keen is best ‘known for her starring roles in the British TV drama Doctors in which she appeared as Julia Parsons from 2003 until last year.
She is also known for starring in the 1970s comedy series, The Cuckoo Waltz and Rings on their Fingers.
She became a regular in the Inspector Wexford series, playing the wife of Wexford’s DI, followed by roles in Brookside, A Touch of Frost and the Ruth Rendell Mysteries.
She was also a murderess in the popular Scottish detective series Taggart in its heyday, acting alongside the late Mark McManus who made the title role of the Glasgow DCI his own until his untimely death in the 1990s.
Joining her onstage for the one-night show on Wednesday, October 9, are actress and recording artist Hollie-Jay Bowes, best known for her role as Michaela McQueen in Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks and television favourite and former model Terri Dwyer, who began her acting career in Hollyoaks and whose acting and presenting work has seen her on ITV’s Loose Women and reviewing newspapers on This Morning.
Described as the ultimate girls’ night out, The Vagina Monologues is both uproariously funny and heart-breakingly emotional. The production donates a percentage of revenue from ticket sales to V-Day, benefiting women’s charities across the world.
