The couthy doric comedian and retired farmer Geordie Smith from Inverurie will head up a fine line up of entertainers in the Gala Concert in the Fettercairn Hall on Wednesday 25th May at 7.30 pm.
He will be joined by singer Haldy Winton, fiddler Leslie Edmonds, pianist Rosie Kellas and Geordie’s versatile wife Moira on the accordion and spoons but not at the same time!
Alan Smeaton, the accomplished young accordionist, from the Arbroath based Rosley Ceilidh Band will also be making a guest appearance.
Alan will be accompanied by a guest drummer and will bring an international flavour to the Concert, having made several trips across the Channel.
This promises to be a very special night with a great opportunity to laugh with Geordie Smith who is a legendary entertainer and compere around the north east and tells his tales and sings his songs in his own unique way.
Tickets are a bargain at £6 and can be purchased at the Shoppie, the Post Office or by ‘phoning Helen on 01561 340309. They can also be obtained at the door, but only if seats available.
