Meet the Committee
Bervie is run off the backs of Committees, so we would like to introduce you to our Committees and their Members.
Jacqui Shaw - Royal Burgh of Inverbervie Gala Committee member, a new member serving her first year.
Jacqui works full time as an Admin Assistant in Maersk Oil & Gas North Sea Limited in the Finance & Business Services Department. Jacqui comes from an Admin background with 25 years experience which she now brings with her to The GALA Committee.
In Jacqui’s spare time, she enjoys socialising and meeting new people. she recently joined the Aberdeenshire Rock Choir, and love’s it!
Jacqui’s world now, is her family. Married to Yorkshire man Matthew in 2008, they have 2 daughters, 7 year old Victoria and 2 year old Emily.
Jacqui used to commute from Altens to Arbroath and quite often stopped off in Bervie to The Cutty Sark, Post Office or local shops.
Finding everyone friendly and chatty decided to grow their family in Bervie.
The Shaw family moved to Bervie when Victoria was 2 and a half and there was plenty of activities for her - ballet when she was 3, then progressed to gymnastics when she was 5.
Jacqui says “Our wee family is complete so time to put back something to the community”
The Families favourite place in Bervie is the beach! They enjoy walking along the path to Gourdon, for some refreshments, then back again! Jacqui Said she was “Looking forward to being part of the Royal Burgh for many years to come, this is our forever home”
